Human Resources Campaign focusing on employment, education and social inclusion 

There are three important segments that enable individuals to grow and obtain a better quality of life. Obtaining a job, quality education and equal rights are of essence.

The European Union is supporting these segments to ensure individual as well as socio-economic growth in the country.

By investing 35,7 million EUR through the Operational Programme on Human Resources 2007-2013, around 13,000 citizens obtained possibilities to seek opportunities for their future employment.

EMPLOYMENT – ATTRACTING AND RETAINING MORE PEOPLE IN EMPLOYMENT

 

The main aim of the EU assistance is to attract and retain individuals in their job opportunities. The assistance ensures that Agency for Employment and its Centres around the country enable measures that increase the employability of unemployed and bridge the gap in the  market demand.  Successful outcome:  13,000 unemployed benefited and 65% already obtained employment. EDUCATION AND TRAINING – INVESTING IN HUMAN CAPITAL THROUGH BETTER EDUCATION AND SKILLS

The main aim of the EU assistance is to provide a quality education and training system that is all inclusive – quality and access for all citizens.  The EU supports an education and training system which encourages lifelong-learning that develops skills and competences that are essential for development of personal and professional life.  This serves as basis for job opportunities. As a result, there were 69 new standards for Vocational Educational Training and 58 schools developed, training of teachers (1044 teachers and 63 school directors) as well as Career Centres at Universities. SOCIAL INCLUSION–EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES AND REINFORCING SOCIAL INCLUSION

 

The main aim of the EU assistance is to prevent and reduce the levels of social exclusion and to promote gender equality and equal opportunities for all seeking to obtain employment. Investments in community based social services, quality education, training and employment for a total of 2.299 persons who participated in the programs, some 715 were ethnic minorities; 350 were persons with disabilities; and others included 290 young populations at social risk. Some 2.225 (683 Roma women) persons have been trained in various vocational skills.
