Cultural stories: “Fine Art in France in 1963” - Lecture by Sylvain Lecombre, curator at Tokyo Palace - Paris

On Wednesday, 12 March 2014, a lecture titled “Fine art in France in 1963” tооk place at the EU InfoCentre. The event, part of the EU InfoCentre’s programme of events “Cultural Stories” , was organised by the French Institute and the Delegation of the European Union.


The lecture, held by Mr. Sylvain Lecombre, curator at Tokyo Palace, Centre for Modern Art in Paris, was organised in honour of the French donation of fine art works to the Museum of Modern Art in Skopje, part of the Museum’s permanent exhibition.


The event, which was officially open by H.E. Laurence Auer, Ambassador of France was also organised within the series of events on the occasion of March, the Francophonie month.

Mr. Sylvain Lecombre and his colleague were in Skopje for a 3-day visit, by invitation of the French Institute and the Museum for Modern Art. Within their visit, they have been engaged with the works from the Museum’s French collection, with the aim of creating a comprehensive catalogue.
