Cultural stories: Forum “EU/Balkan – literature/inclusion”

On Wednesday, 28 May, at 11:00 hrs., the forum titled “EU/Balkan – literature/inclusion” tооk place at the EU InfoCentre, within the activities of the PRO - ZA Balkan Literature Festival. The forum, part of the EU InfoCentre’s series of events Cultural stories, was also organised on the occasion of 2014 Europe Day.

 

The forum, which was moderated by Prof. Dr. Elizabeta Sheleva, included addresses on the forum’s topic by the festival guest writers from the region (Turkey, Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia), national writers, the festival fellowship programme participants as well by the members of the festival’s artistic board.

 

The International PRO-ZA Balkan literature festival, organised by the publishing house IKONA, was held for the second time in Skopje, from 27 – 29 May in the in the Youth Cultural Centre. The main aim of the festival was the networking of writers, publishers, literary agents and literary festival organisers from the Balkans and Europe, in order to help create a translational circulation of works and authors.
